GOALS

Going as an Au Pair is a very rewarding experience both personally and professionally. It's a unique experience!

A Young Au Pair is a person aged between 18 and 30 who decides to go abroad for linguistic purposes but also in order to take care of children and live with a foreign family for a period generally between 6 months and 12 months. The Au Pair will earn pocket money for the work provided, the amount of pocket money varies depending on the destination. In addition, the Young Au Pair must be able to perform some light household chores. One of the main objectives of Au Pairs is to take care of the children of the family (preparing meals, dropping the children off at school in the morning and picking them up in the evening, playing with them, helping with the baths and homework...) It is important to remember that an Au Pair is not a cleaner! Au Pairs should spend time with their Host Family and be involved in their role. When the Au Pair is not taking care of the children, he is free to take language lessons, go out with friends, visit the city...

WHY IS IT BETTER TO GO THROUGH AN AGENCY?

Going through an agency allows you to "avoid bad surprises" from uncontrolled matchmaking sites but also protects you because we are in contact with agencies all over the world and our partner agencies abroad have the role of to check the profile of the families as well as to ensure that the conditions of the placement will be respected (schedule, pocket money...).

You are never alone, the on-site agency is there to put you in touch with other young people living the same experience as you.

A specialized agency also helps you with your project and redirects you according to your profile if needed.

WARNING :  BEING AN AU PAIR IS NOT A HOLIDAY! YOUR MISSIONS WILL BE  TO TAKE CARE OF THE CHILDREN IN YOUR HOST FAMILY YOU WILL ALSO HAVE 1 to 2 FREE DAYS PER WEEK. THE USE OF TELEPHONE, COMPUTER, TELEVISION IS NOT AUTHORIZED WHEN YOU KEEP CHILDREN (EXCEPT IN CASE OF EMERGENCY).
